Layered necklaces look effortless — when they sit right. Here's the approach we use when styling our pieces.
Space them 2 inches apart
Start with a short chain at around 16 in, then add 18 in and 20 in. Two inches between each layer keeps every piece visible and stops them twisting together.
Mix weights, not metals
Pair one very fine chain with a slightly heavier one, and let a single pendant or charm be the focal point. Keeping to one metal tone looks calm and considered.
Let the neckline lead
Open and V-necks suit longer layers; crew necks look best with shorter, tighter layering above the fabric.
Store them flat
Lay necklaces flat or hang them separately so they're ready to wear next time — no untangling required.
Our Luna Layered Necklace is designed with the spacing already done for you.
